Cutscene #1

An ISA trooper pushes Garza's coffin to a batch of coffins. Sev solemnly approaches Garza's coffin and briefly puts his hand on it. Sev is soon joined by Rico and Natko. Rico puts his hand on Sev's shoulder.

Rico: Sev?

Sev angrily takes Rico's hand off him.

Sev: Back off... back the fuck off.

Natko intervenes.

Natko: Wow! Take it easy. Rico, just leave it man!

Sev returns to mourn Garza.

ISA speaker: All personnel to battle stations. Repeat - all personnel to battle stations.

An explosion shakes the ship.

Natko: Shit... what now?! Come on!

Rico: Sev, let's go! Move it!

Sev angrily bangs his hand on the coffin before reluctantly leaving.

Rico: Colonel Templar come in... This is Rico. Come in...

Gameplay #1

Rico: Damnit! I can't get through to the Bridge. Sev! Take the elevator to the Bridge! Find out what the Colonel's plan is!

As Sev's elevator ascends, Helghast soldiers have boarded the ship and battles ISA troopers. A Leech Pod breaches the hull.

ISA Trooper: Engineering's fallen! Retreating to the Upper Intruder Bay!

ISA Trooper: This tube's out above C-Deck! You need to change elevators to reach the Bridge.

ISA Trooper: Move it people, get those guns firing now! This is not a goddamn drill!

An ISA trooper fires at Sev's elevator.

ISA Trooper: Watch it, he's one of ours!

ISA Trooper: Bridge is just through this door, Sarge.

ISA Trooper: Look, you gotta head to the Bridge guard post. The Colonel asked for somebody and we're short all over.

Cutscene #2

Evelyn: ...uploading grid coordinates to the warheads...a few more minutes...

Templar: ...copy, initializing missile launch sequence...damn, we have damage to the launch ports...

Evelyn: How many?

Templar: All of them.

Templar sees Sev.

Templar: Sergeant. We're going to take out the Petrusite grid, but we need more time! Help keep those Higs off our backs! We need to manually override the launch ports.

An explosion shakes the bridge.

Templar: Damnit! Get moving, Sergeant! Start with the gun deck.

Gameplay #2

When Heavy Trooper appears.

ISA Trooper: Heavy! Take cover!

After eliminating all Helghast.

ISA Trooper [Radio]: Okay Sarge, we just need to go through the security lock and get word to the engineers that the situation is under control.

Billinghurst: They're dead! They're all dead! Let us in!

Officer [Radio]: I need your Name, Rank and Service number.

Billinghurst: What the Hell? This isn't the time for protocol!

Officer [Radio]: The security cameras are out. I need to identify you before I can open the door.

Billinghurst: Corporal Billinghurst, Victor Mike Seven Three Four Six Niner Bravo Xray.

Officer [Radio]: Okay, you checked out. Come on in.

Officer: We gotta clear the goddamn air space! Sergeant, we got Hig jetfighters all over us! Could use you on the Port Aft AA gun.

Explosion.

Officer: Get down the stairs to the Gun Deck...

ISA Trooper: Sir!?

Officer: Down the stairs to the Gun Deck, then bear right. Go!

After Sev mans the AA gun.

Officer [Radio]: Sergeant, this is AA Control. I read you activating the turret. I need you to scan your sector and knock as many leech pods out of the sky as you can. I know this isn't your comfort zone, but do your best. Make every round count as ammo supply is limited. AA Control Out.

The ISA cruiser, Zephyr, goes down.

Officer [Radio]: The Zephyr! We lost the Zephyr, she's going down!

After shooting down Leech Pods.

Officer [Radio]: That did it! Looks like they're leaving us alone. Commence the evacuation.

Intruders are launched from the New Sun.

Another ISA cruiser, Bright Dawn, goes down.

Officer [Radio]: Oh God! That was the Bright Dawn. It's burning from stern to stern!

After shooting down more Helghast fighters and Leech Pods.

Officer [Radio]: That's it for the reloads. Make the last few shots count sergeant!

Officer [Radio]: That's it for the ammo, Sarge. You did good, but you're totally dry. I'm gonna lock those guns down now.

After Sev ejects out of the gun pod.

Natko: Nice to see a friendly face. I had money on you being dead by now, y'know? [laughs] By some miracle the cargo elevator is still working - let's pick up those feet, huh?

Templar [Radio]: This is Templar. I've asked a lot from each one of you - you've never let me down. Now I'm going to ask one more thing. Evacuate the New Sun and put your trust in me, one last time, to do what needs to be done. Get off the ship - head to the ground, or to surviving cruisers. Continue the fight, beat the Helghast and go home as heroes. It's been an honour to serve with you, and a privilege. Templar out.

Natko: The Colonel's making a lot of sense for an officer. Let's get the fuck off this tub.

Rico [Radio]: Hey Sev, you still there? We've secured an intruder.

Natko: Ship's gonna blow! Look... About Garza. I'm sorry, okay. Rico fucked up. I couldn't believe Rico did that. Fuck it coulda been me as easy as Garza.

Rico [Radio]: Sev, where are you? Okay we're right below you. Without elevator power you're going to have to work your way through Maintenance to get to us. Good luck, damn Higs are everywhere.

Evelyn [Radio]: I know this might not seem the time, but I've been doing some scanning of the surface. There seems to be a small petrusite grid under Visari's Palace. It's not big enough to run that defensive shield - it's probably just for local defensive fire towers. I've copied Narville in on this, you know. Just in case.

After Sev reach the intruder bay.

Rico: Hey Sev, you took your fucking sweet time. Let's get out of here.

Cutscene #3

Rico: Sev...c'mon!

Sev: On my way!

Sev checks a CCTV console and sees Templar and Evelyn still on the bridge.

Templar: Evelyn, we're approaching the grid coordinates.

Evelyn: I'll prep the autopilot...Jan!

Templar turns around and sees a pair of Elite Shock Trooper entering the bridge. Colonel Mael Radec enters as he de-cloaks. Radec opens his helemt.

Radec: Colonel Templar.

Templar: Colonel Radec. This is... unexpected.

Radec: I'd rather we had met in combat. Like soldiers.

Templar: I agree. But we find ourselves here.

Radec: Indeed. Now give me the nuclear codes. The woman told me they were here.

Templar: They are, but my access clearance has been revoked.

Evelyn discreetly access a computer to "COMMANDER OVERRIDE/DELETE AND ZERO OUT ALL CRITICAL DATA?".

Radec: Oh, you make a very poor liar, Colonel. Now give me the codes.

Templar: Without authorization from high command those codes are going nowhere.

Radec: Do not toy with me!

Radec shoots Evelyn.

Templar: NO!!

Templar punches Radec, but Radec shoots him repeatedly into his chest.

Radec: Download the code data.

Sev watches in stunned silence.

Sev: They shot the colonel!

Rico: Jan? NO!!

Natko stops Rico from leaving the intruder.

Natko: Rico!

Rico: I'm not leavin' without him!

Natko: It's too late...

Rico: Get your goddamn hands off me...

Natko: Sev...Sev... Jump on!

Rico: Get the fuck off!

Sev jumps on to the intruder before it departs the New Sun. Back on the bridge, a mortally wounded Templar crawls to the console and manually sets the ship to crash into the Petrusite grid.

ISA Computer: User Override! Station thrusters disengaged! Alert! Flight profile compromised. Insufficient lift to maintain altitude! Warning! Collision Alert. Altitude one thousand five hundred meters.

Templar succumbs to his wounds.

ISA Computer: Aerodynamic limits exceeded! Structural failure imminent!

The New Sun plunges into the grid and unleash a massive explosion that is seen and felt by Alpha Squad.

Natko: Ah, man... shit...

Rico: Damn!

Natko: Hold on!

Sev: Goddamned! The whole grid is going up!

Natko: Damn. Daaamn!

The grid's destruction triggers a chain reaction, damaging the pipelines leading to Pyrrhus. Sev looks at where the New Sun had crashed.

Sev: He didn't die for nothing, Rico...
