Rico: He did it. Visari nuked his own damn city...

Alpha Squad observes a mushroom cloud that hangs over Pyrrhus.

Natko: Guess we're the only beachhead left. Shit.

Narville: Where's your goddam C-O?

Rico and Natko looks at Narville, who is rallying to a group of demoralized ISA marines.

Narville: You call yourselves marines!? Get on your feet godammit! All of your! We're not done here!

Rico: Not like this, man... I'm going after Visari. Not waitin' here for his goddamn army to come finish us off.

Natko: What the fuck. We're screwed either way, right?

Rico turns to Sev who is still staring at the ruined city.

Rico: How about it? Sev?

Sev: What's left of our forward unit just called in seeing 2 entire regiments of Helghast reinforcements heading our way... Radec's personal guard taking point. Probably pissed off as fuck that their city got destroyed and hell-bent on gutting each and every one of us.

Sev turns to his comrades.

Sev: So yeah...Natko is right...we're fucked either way. But when has that stopped us before...

Rico: Alright, let's take it to him...

Gameplay #1

Narville [Radio]: Alpha Team, this is Command. The objective is to neutralise the Palace Arc Battery.

Rico: C'mon Alpha! We need to take out those signal towers.

Rico: Shit! Watch out for the armour!

Rico: Waste that Hig Armour - it's screwing up the whole assault!

Narville [Radio]: The glowing petrusite in those towers means they'll go up like fueldrums. Take some D-Charges and give me some fireworks. Those towers are knocking hell out of our air cover.

Rico: Alright, pretty simple stuff. Sev, you're on D-charge duty - Natko and I'll keep the Higs off you.

Natko: Don't worry Sev, this time I got your back.

Rico: Okay, Sev, slap a D Charge up there on the console.

Rico: We've got to decide which tower we're taking down first and storm it!

After detonating the first tower.

Rico: Progress. One down, 3 to go.

Natko: That's a coincidence. We're one down and three to go too.

Rico: Alright, let's take out the rest of those towers.

After detonating the second tower.

Rico: Alright, halfway there.

Natko: Hey Sev! What kind of person are you? Would you say the complex 'half destroyed' or 'half intact'?

After detonating the third tower.

Rico: A'ight... Last one.

After detonating the last tower.

Narville [Radio]: Outstanding Alpha, that's the last of them. I'll get one of the cruisers on the horn to take out that Arc Battery ASAP.

Rico: Come on we gotta move on before they take out that Arc Battery.

Narville [Radio]: They're getting ready to pound that battery - all units find cover!

Rico: Looks like that elevator goes up to the Palace.

Narville [Radio]: Command to ground forces! Prepare for shockwave - Take Cover!

Natko: It's about fucking time the Navy blew up that electric pile of junk!

The Arc Battery is brought down.

Rico: Stay focused. It ain't over until we see Visari fry.

Several ATACs appears.

Rico: Fuck, they've got ATAC's all over the place!

Rico: Visari's front door is right in sight. We HAVE TO keep pushing!

Natko: Sev, we've gotta flank those barricades!

Rico: Alpha! Push to the Palace doors!

Cutscene #2

Rico: Sev! Natko! Come on!

Natko: You guys go ahead. I'll stay out here and keep them at bay.

Gameplay #2

Natko [Radio]: Those enemy reinforcements are going to be breathing down our necks soon! It's gonna be touch and go! We're still mopping up out here! Don't take forever - we won't be here that long!

Rico: Alright then. We're on our own. From here in, we gotta watch each others backs, Sev.

Narville [Radio]: Alright men, now go capture Visari and end this campaign for us all, good luck!

Cutscene #3

Helghast Soldier: Security identified a breach at the main gate.

Radec: Why didn't second platoon... I'll deal with these two myself. Didn't I kill "all" of you yet?! Cut them off!

Radec activates his cloaking device.

Gameplay #3

Radec: Break those two up! Don't let them support each other!

Radec: Burn them alive!

Rico: The balcony doors are open! Sweep Forward! Take up an overwatch position on the second floor!

Rico: Sev! Head up to the Second floor!

Radec: Stop them! Bring them down!

Radec: You seem to want this to be personal, it will be my pleasure..

Radec is left wounded on the floor before drawing his pistol out. He fails to aim his gun on Rico and Sev, but instead turns it on himself, committing suicide. Rico spits on Radec's corpse.

Rico: Killing that son of a bitch for Jan was a good fucking start.

Rico spots several dead Helghast soldiers.

Rico: Looks like they killed themselves. Classy. Saves me the effort. Time to finish this thing now. Or maybe that sick fuck Radec killed them for practice. Where is Visari? I wanna break that motherfuckers face myself. Either way - they got what they deserved. Let's go collect their boss.

Cutscene #4

Rico: Visari!

Sev: Scolar Visari!

Visari looks out the windows while ignoring Sev and Rico.

Sev: Visari... I'm placing you under arrest under article 27...

Visari: And who are you, soldier?

Sev: Sevchenko, Sergeant First Class.

Visari: They send a sergeant to take Visari? Are your commanders really all so afraid?

Sev: War's over Visari. You lost.

Visari: Really, Sergeant. And who won? The cowards who commanded you and your comrades here to die? The Helghast have lost nothing! We fight for who we are! We wear our wounds like badges of honor. Helghan is ours, and we will die before we'll let it fall to plunderers. That is why your leaders dare not make a martyr of me. Your fleet burned, your friends butchered... And you become a hero for saving my life? Does that sound like a victory to you, Sergeant Sevchenko?

Rico: Son of a bitch.

Sev: Good men have died, and I'll see you rot in a cell for it! You'll pay for what you've done.

Visari: For giving my people pride, purpose? We have built this great nation from nothing! Take me and Helghan will dissolve into chaos. The ISA war machine powerless against the sheer will of my people. We will choke the streets with our dead before we surrender. Your masters will beg me to restore order! You have not won. You will never!

Rico suddenly shoots Visari.

Sev: Rico! NO!!

Visari collapses on the floor.

Visari: Madness... The madness... begins.

Visari expires. Sev looks at Rico, who is sulking in a corner. Sev begins to walk out the room and walks pass Narville and Natko.

Narville: Sergeant? Sergeant! What happened?

Sev ignores Narville and continues walking.

Natko: Shit... Sev!

Narville: Godammit!

Natko and Narville walks to Visari's body. Sev walks out of the room and sees the arrival of Helghast ships and fighters of the Helghast First Army in which they prepare to engage ISA ships.

ISA Trooper: Fuck!

ISA Trooper: Helghast ships!

ISA Trooper: I thought first wave took all of them out.

ISA Trooper: We're screwed!

ISA Trooper: Oh, man! I can't believe this...

ISA Trooper: We need to get the fuck out of here!

Sev dejectedly sits on the stairs.

ISA Trooper: Move out, move out, report to your CO's.

ISA Trooper: Come on people, let's go, let's go!

ISA troopers continue to stare at the Helghast ships as more keep coming.
