Echo: I see him. He's leading us right towards the weapon. It's heavily armed. There's no way in unless you disable the Mobile Scan Unit. I'll find another way down. If we flank our approach we stand a better chance of breaking through. If it comes to it, Kellan...the weapon takes priority. We can't let them use it.
Lucas: Let's make sure it doesn't come to that.
Gameplay
July 7th 2390 - 9:12 pm
Helghast Trooper: I lost my entire family here... everyone. I was the only person in my family who survived... and then they keep us like animals, it sickens me... yes, brother. There will be a reckoning. Stahl knows this. Vekta will be ours...the civilians will not be killed; we will give them the chance to leave... If they choose to stay, that is a different matter... that planet is ours, we were there first.
Echo (radio): I'm going for the entrance. You deal with the Mobile Scan Unit.
Lucas: I've got eyes on the base.
After Lucas plants C4 on one of the turrets.
Lucas: Charge ready.
Echo: I'm almost at the entrance.
After planting C4 on the other turret.
Lucas: Second charge set. Stand by for detonation.
Echo: RV at the entrance.
Lucas: I'm on my way.
After the MSU is destroyed.
Echo: System's down. Give me perimeter security while I find a way in.
Echo: Alright, I'm in. Get over to the entrance -- I'll open the doors.
Echo: I'll take point. Watch our six. No! The weapon's not here. Tyran must have it. Here. This must be the way through. Gimme a hand with the door release.
Echo: We can use the shuttle trains. That should get us to where ever he went. Hold the platform. I'll secure the train.
After clearing the train platform.
Lucas: Platform clear. Where's the train?
Echo: Just finishing up the control bypass.
Echo: You see, Visari has no choice. You have to tell Sinclair to stand down.
Lucas: He won't listen.
Echo: Well try! If you don't Vekta is gone.
Lucas: Sir, do you read me? Over. Sir, if you can hear me. You have to pull back. Stahl's been waiting. He knew we were coming. Sir copy? Do you read? Sir? Nothing.
Echo: Let's just hope he heard you.
Echo: I need to get into that control room. If I can hack their system -- I might be able to find the location of the weapon.
Echo: I'm at the control tower. I'm going to hack the entrance door. Hold on... I nearly have it. I'm in!
After securing Control Room.
Echo: Kellan, cover my six! I need some time on this."
Echo: Cover our six!
Echo: They're regrouping. Re-attack is on its way... Check your ammo.
Echo: Here we go!
Lucas: I am going to hack the entrance doors to stop them coming in.
Echo: Grab all the ammo you can. This is not over.
Echo: Dammit! I'm almost finished. Just hold them for a bit longer!
Lucas: There's another door, I am going to hack it and stop reinforcements from coming.
Lucas: Done. That should be the last of them.
Echo: I've got a feed on their comms. I've got something... it's Tyran. He's moving this way. We can set up an ambush!
Tyran: HEY! CATCH!
Tyran tosses a grenade.
Tyran: I hear you're taking the credit for killing me. I hope you make the most of it.
If destroying his drones.
Echo: Now! Take out his armour.
Echo: That's it! Keep on him!
Tyran: Goddamn it!
Echo: He's nearly down! Don't let up!
After Tyran is defeated.
Echo: How do we stop it?! TELL ME!
Tyran: New Helghan is but a fantasy... dreamt up by cowards and traitors.
Echo: Focus! [Pistol whip Tyran] The weapon?!
Tyran: The fantasy is about to end... for all of you. The invasion will cost you everything.
Echo: You will never know.
Echo executes Tyran. A loud explosion is heard.
Lucas: Sir? Can you hear me? Over.
Sinclair (radio): Yeah, I read you.
Lucas: Sir, we have to pull back. You can't win this.
Echo: We're too late.
Sinclair (radio): Is she still with you? I take that as a yes. You may have lost sight of what matters soldier, but I have not.
Lucas: You're not listening. Stahl has the weapon. Now I can get to him and stop this. You're walking into a trap.
Sinclair (radio): The die is cast.
Lucas: Sir?!
Echo: You tried.
Lucas: We find Stahl. This ends.
Echo: Stahl's our only chance to stop this. Come on. We'll use one of their ships.
Echo and Lucas prepares to board a dropship.
Echo: I guess we're both outcasts now. Maybe in all this, that's not such a bad thing to have in common.
Their drop rise to the surface.
Echo: We're coming up to Stahl's base.
Their dropship reach the surface and finds a massive battle between ISA ships and Helghast ships and MAWLRs.
Echo: No...
Lucas: Echo, what's wrong?
Echo: Stahl's using the weapon.
The weapon is activated in which every ISA ship are consumed in a red energy and are dropping out of the sky.
Echo: Hang on!
The dropship is caught in the gravity well.
Echo: I don't have control!
Lucas is pulled out and falls into the gravity well leading to Stahl's base.
Lucas: Echo, this is Kellan, are you okay? Echo, do you read me?
AI: Evasive measures! Missiles incoming!
Stahl (loudspeaker): Units converge on main deck. Block his path.
Lucas uses the elevator to Stahl's sanctum.
Stahl (loudspeaker): I can see you are determined to kill me. I understand. You want to protect your home. It is admirable. You show something a great many of your kind lack. Vektans are selfish, they care only about themselves. They look at their fellow man and resent him. Each one seeking more than the other. There is no love in your hearts, only greed. It is because of this weakness that you cannot endure like we can. We have something much stronger than you. We have belief. A belief that cannot be shaken no matter how hard you try. Know that killing me changes nothing. It only prolongs the inevitable. It is simply a matter of biology. You were born on the wrong side, Marshal. Others will rise up behind me and take my place. Eventually we will win.
Lucas confronts Stahl.
Stahl: The Terracide happened for a reason, the weak perished. Those of us that survived, were meant to. Now it is time for you to suffer that same fate. History demands it. The Helghast cannot live in Vekta's shadow any longer.
Stahl is suddenly shot dead. Lucas turns around and sees the shooter, Sinclair, who then shoots Lucas.
Sinclair: Pulsar to ground team, I've found the weapon.
Ground team: Roger that Pulsar. Securing the perimeter.
Sinclair: I thought I knew you, Lucas. After everything these sons of bitches have taken from us in the past I didn't think you'd be the one I lost faith in. Be the one I couldn't trust. Every day, New Helghan continues to exist we are under threat. I've shown them that. And now I'll show them how we can remove that threat. Forever. I've always tried to protect you, son. I'm sorry I couldn't be that person.
Sinclair executes Lucas.
