The Jetpack Trooper is Helghast enemy in Killzone 3.
Description
Jetpack Troopers are specially trained soldiers which they use a StA-X6 Jetpack to engage enemies in locations where standard troops have difficulty operating or cannot operate at all. The Jetpack Trooper will often use the Jetpack to fly above his enemy to engage them in aerial surprise attacks. The Jetpack is armed with a chassis mounted, rapid-fire, SMG that can quickly the Trooper's enemies to pieces.
Jetpack Troopers are first introduced in Icy Incursion and show up various times in the campaign.
Tactics
Jetpack Troopers are highly evasive and thereby making them tricky targets. When having access to a Jetpack of your own and its unlimited ammo supply will make it easier to deal with Jetpack Troopers. In other areas where there are emplaced guns, such as the StA-62 Minigun, always make use of them to pick off Jetpack Troopers.
When not having a Jetpack, or preferring not to use emplaced weapons, use an accurate weapon such as the StA-14 Rifle and track the Jetpack Trooper while he is in the air with stutter fire. When killing a Jetpack Trooper, their Jetpack will likely malfunction and come crashing down to the ground in a fiery explosion; be advised to stay clear of the flaming deathtrap.
