The Shadow is the second chapter of Killzone Shadow Fall.
Plot
Following his escape from the prisoner exchange, Lucas returns to the VSA Headquarters and is reunited with Director Thomas Sinclair. His superior debriefs him about a VSA infiltration team that was sent to New Helghan before they lost contact, in which Sinclair then tasks Lucas to return to New Helghan and find the infiltration team and retrieve their intel while wiping all traces of their operation.
Lucas infiltrates Visari Park and manages to find the VSA squad and recovered their intel. They hijack a dropship and return to the Vektan side while destroying a massive statue of Scolar Visari in the process.

- Infiltrate the purification plant: The team went down somewhere in enemy territory. The only way in is through the sewers and into the purification plant.
- I've made it out of the sewers and inside the facility. So far it's dead. No workers - nothing.
- Find the air drop: I need to reach the packages Sinclair's dropped for me outside. I can expect enemy resistance from here on in.
- Find the crew: Three bodies - probably died in the crash. There was a crew of six so the survivors must be holed up nearby. I'm conducting a search.
