VSA Headquarters is the headquarters of the Vektan Security Agency, located in Vekta City.

Description

Located in Vekta City's Eden District,[1] the VSA Headquarters is a 73 story building constructed in 2344, capable of withstanding a magnitude 8 earthquake and a 1 kiloton explosion. It can house up to 1000 personnel for up to 24 months in a self-contained environment, and has numerous defensive security systems. Security includes an exterior magnetic shield, and a fortified counter field to protect against laser, molecular, and acoustic recording devices and scans.[2]

History

VSA Headquarters was first constructed in 2344. It is widely recognized as the principle intelligence gathering source for the Vektan government.

On June 29, 2390, VSA HQ came under a terrorist attack conducted by the Black Hand in which the main building was bombed by undercover Black Hand terrorists, causing hundreds of civilian casualties and damaging nearby property.[3][1] Black Hand operatives even temporarily took control of the HQ to paralyze the VSA from coordinate a response to the Black Hand's strikes across Vekta City until it was retaken by Shadow Marshal Lucas Kellan.[3]

VSA HQ was repaired several months later. On August 5, VSA Director Thomas Sinclair held a rally speech in front of VSA HQ to call for a new war against New Helghan. During the middle of Sinclair's speech he was assassinated by a Helghast operative.[4]
