Templar: These comms are getting worse. Anyone else receiving?

Templar: We're gettin' cut off here.

A RRF trooper next to Templar is shot.

Templar: Shit!

RRF: What do we do sir?!

Templar: We have to get back to the main line.

A RRF trooper jumps into Templar's trench.

Templar: Jesus! You trying to get yourself killed? Who are you?

Sanchez: Private Sanchez sir! Don't worry about those Helghast sir; they're walking right into one of our minefields!

A Helghast APC explodes.

Sanchez: Hehe, dead in their tracks!

Templar: How long will the minefield hold them?

Sanchez: Not much longer sir - they've been trying to find a way through all day.

Templar: You know this area, Sanchez?

Sanchez: Yessir! I've been covering the Helghast here since the whole thing began. But I lost comms with the Forward Post on The Ridgeback.

Templar: Ok. Sanchez; you take point. We gotta stop the Helghast breaking through our lines. And get us out of this alive.

Sanchez: Yessir!

Trenches

Sanchez: Open Fire!

Sanchez: Reload!

Sanchez: More of them! In the distance!

Sanchez: They're attacking the right flank! I'll create a way out of here, give me some covering fire!

Sanchez: Let's get the hell out of here! Follow me!

Templar follows Sanchez.

Sanchez: More Helghast! Let em have it!

Sanchez: ISA survivors! On the right! Give them covering fire!

After ISA troops reach the trench.

ISA: Thanks for the cover sir! Here, take these!

Templar receives grenade launcher rounds.

Sanchez: Holy shit! We'd better get our asses back to the main line! Run for it!!

Templar and the ISA retreats.

Sanchez: Tank!! Run for it!!!

Sanchez: Hold here! Catch your breath...

Sanchez: Let's get the hell out of here! Follow me!

Templar and the others reach the main line.

ISA: You made it! Thank god! Here comes the rest of your unit! Give them covering fire!

After clearing out the Helghast assault.

Sanchez: The way out is clear! Retake that bunker!

Templar reach the bunker with a M224 MOMAG.

Sanchez: Use the MG! Quick!

Templar use the MOMAG to wipe out a Helghast assault.

Sanchez: You keep on going sir! We'll hold this bunker!

Templar advance the trenches.

ISA: A Helghast is hiding in here! Clear the room with a grenade!

Templar use grenades to clear out Helghast in the bunkers.

ISA: Try cooking a grenade this time!

Templar cooked a grenade and toss it into a Helghast bunker. Templar then reaches the Hakkendorf building.

ISA: Ah Captain Templar! You're still alive! This building leads to the city's outskirts. You need to cross the industries to get to HQ. Helghast have broken through and they're already in this part of the city, so be careful! Good luck Sir!

Light Industry

ISA: Keep your head down! Captain Templar! Are we pleased to see you sir! We managed to hold our position against the first attack but we're pinned down by sniper fire. There's a sniper rifle up the water tower - we can give you covering fire while you retrieve it. Let's go!

ISA: For god's sake, save us Sir!

Templar reach the water tower.

ISA: You'll have to climb up this ladder to get the sniper rifle. We think the sniper is located in a building at the end of the street. The scope on the rifle will allow you to zoom in until he fills the crosshairs.

A ISA soldier is shot by the Helghast sniper.

ISA: NOooooo! Not Johnson - he was only a boy...

Templar picks up an StA-52 SLAR and shoots the sniper.

ISA: Got the bastard! Come on men, let's fall back to the HQ.

More Helghast soldiers appear.

ISA: Ambush!

Templar takes out the Helghast.

ISA: Go, Go, Go!

Templar climbs down the water tower.

ISA: Move up, come on, get a move on!

Templar and the ISA move up the streets before encountering more Helghast.

ISA: Take cover! There's another sniper!

Templar takes out the sniper. Artillery then start raining on the street.

ISA: Incoming!

An artillery shell hits a pipeline.

ISA: Sir! The fallen pipe will allow us to get over the defences.

Templar enter the fallen pipe and reach the other side of the street.

ISA: Over here Captain Templar! We need all the help we can get, follow me.

Templar follow the ISA trooper to the other side of a building.

ISA: Get ready! APC approaching!

A Helghast APC arrives and start firing.

ISA: We've got to take out that Enemy APC, get down there and use the Missile Launcher! Just vault over the pipe to get into the trench.

Templar picks up an M404 Missile Launcher and fires several rockets to destroy the APC.

ISA: Burn baby burn!

ISA: Here come more of the bastards! Kill 'em all!

Templar fend off the Helghast assault.

ISA: There's more of 'em, come on, quick!

Templar fends off another Helghast assault.

ISA: Captain Templar! We're pulling back to HQ, come with us, we'll escort you to the HQ perimeter.

Industries

ISA: Captain Templar, the Helghast attack has severely compromised this area. You're needed at headquarters, and the only way to get there is through these shuttle repair bays.

ISA: Inbound jetbike!

A Helghast Jet Bike flies over the ISA's position.

ISA: Incoming Helghast!

Templar fights off another Helghast assault.

ISA: Captain, let's move on before we're overrun!

Templar enters a building.

ISA: Good to see you, Sir. They're all over the place, so we'll have to be careful.

ISA: Let's go kick some ass!

Templar proceed through the repair bays and fighting Helghast along the way.

ISA: Take cover! They're everywhere!

Helghast: Where are our reinforcements?

After clearing Helghast, two hover tanks appears. Templar destroys the tanks.

ISA: Sir! Over here! We have to get you to safety.

ISA: You go on ahead Captain, we'll stay here and hold this position.

ISA Command

ISA: Captain Templar. We've been expecting you. If you follow me I'll take you to our C.O.

Templar reach outside the HQ's perimeter.

ISA: It's this way.

ISA: Sarge, Captain Templar is here.

ISA C.O.: Captain Templar. Glad to see you made it through alive. General Vaughton said you would be coming this...

ISA [Comms]: Helghast armour closing in on your position!

ISA: Shit!

ISA C.O.: Get ready people! We have to hold them off until our vehicles get here.

Templar hold off the Helghast assault.

ISA: Alright!

ISA [Comms]: Helghast have broken through the West perimeter. They're...

ISA Lancers arrive on the scene.

ISA: Captain. Over here.

Templar proceed into the HQ.

ISA: Captain, I've been sent to take you to General Vaughton. Please follow me.

ISA: Clear ahead.

ISA: Helghast!

ISA: Hey, there's an MG upstairs we can use.

Templar reach the MG nest.

ISA: Here it is.

Templar uses the MG to wipe out Helghast forces. A Overlord Dropship appears and drops off Helghast soldiers.

ISA: It's this way Sir.

After clearing out all Helghast enemies.

ISA: General Vaughton is waiting for you in the command room Sir.

Vaughton: Tell General Adams that the security key is on its way to me right now. I'll be shuttling up in a...

Technician: Within the hour general.

Vaughton: Within the hour, and I expect everything to be ready when I arrive.

ISA: Yes sir.

The uplink to the SD Platform blacks out.

Vaughton: Damn!

Vaughton notice Templar. He and Templar salute to each other.

Vaughton: It's good to see you Jan.

Templar: You too General. What's happening out there? Are we holding?

'Technician shakes her head negatively to Vaughton.

Vaughton: It's impossible to tell with the comms as they are but we are being attacked by the third Helghan Army led by a General Lente. If Helghast ships keep on flooding in with more troops we may as well pack up right here right now.

Templar: So much for taking them out of the sky before they land.

Vaughton: Yeah.

Templar: What's the latest with the SD platforms?

Vaughton: General Adams is trying to get them operational again but they need complete reprogramming. I have to get up there with the security key to override the control failsafe. I'm just waiting for the damn key to arrive before I head up for the shuttle.

Templar: Any news from Earth? I mean we're going to need some heavy firepower to root these bastards out.

Vaughton: Last we heard they're sending the cavalry. We just have to hold out until they arrive.

ISA Headquarters gets hit by bombs.

Vaughton: Jan, I had you brought here for a reason. A mission. I was hoping you...

Templar: What's the brief?

Vaughton: We have an infield operations agent working for us behind enemy lines.

Vaughton is handed a device.
