Crats are a hybrid species of mammals bred by Helghast xenogenticists on planet Helghan.[1]
Description
A rodent/feline crossbreed, Crats were bred on Helghan to ward off Cadaver Beetles and Helghan Spiders near Helghan settlements.[1] Following the Terracide, Helghast survivors brought Crats to Vekta. The population of Crats dramatically increased in the southern territories of New Helghan due to the lack of natural Vektan predators for the Crats.[1] Crats posed a health hazard to the public as they carried potentially lethal diseases and viruses, in which the New Helghan government ordered the extermination of Crats through a highly toxic biochemical pesticide.[1]
