Blood Money is the eighth mission in Killzone: Mercenary.

Plot

Danner is sent by Kratek to the mobile research Facility X01 to retrieve the virus before Admiral Grey does. Grey's men have overrun the facility and uses its heavy defenses against Kratek's dropships. Danner's craft is hit, but Danner manages to board the facility. Blackjack also aids Danner by hacking into ISA comms and allowing them to eavesdrop on Admiral Grey.

Danner disables the AA guns and allowing Kratek's men to board. He then makes way to the facility's lower level to reach the vault. Along the way the ISA are blowing up laboratories, taking what they want and destroying the rest. Danner arrives at the vault where it is heavily defended by the ISA, who are trying to drill into the vault. After dealing with the ISA, Danner uses Savic's code to unlock the vault and obtains a sample of the virus. But Grey and her men soon arrives. Danner is then ordered by Kratek to set explosive charges to destroy the vault from falling to Grey. Danner escapes the vault and Grey is killed in the process. However, the explosives detonated by Danner also triggered the ISA explosives which causes the facility to veer off course.

• If Danner escapes the vault while leaving Grey alive, the latter will be lock inside the vault in which she will bang on the door and curse Danner until she is incinerated by the detonated bombs.
